Veteran's Day

In honor of Veteran's Day, we read Don't You Know There's A War Going On? by James Stevenson.  We had a great discussion in each of the classes about life during WWII in America. Many questions were raised about the draft, and about the War in Afghanistan.
The program was wonderful! I was so proud of all of the kids for a memorable performance!

This week I am travelling to Ohio State for an intense 3 day literacy conference. 


Our spelling words for this week are ALL the same for all spelling groups. Everyone brought home a list today.

Adding -EST.

If the word ends with a Y, then you change the y to an i and add EST.
